A new method of treating kidney cysts

Kidney cysts are a common disease that can compress the kidney and impair kidney function, as well as cause back pain and other uncomfortable symptoms. Traditional treatment methods include ultrasound-guided puncture injection, but it is easy to recur and only suitable for smaller cysts. For larger cysts (greater than 4 cm), laparoscopic methods are now mostly used to do decortication surgery. Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that involves making three pencil-thin holes in the patient’s lower back to complete the procedure, and also requires surgery under general anesthesia. This method has the following four major advantages: 1. Only one pencil-thick hole needs to be made in the lumbar area, which is 2 less than laparoscopy and 2/3 less trauma; 2. No general anesthesia is needed, epidural anesthesia (semi-body anesthesia) is sufficient, and postoperative recovery is fast and painful; 3. Laser excision is used, and bleeding is significantly reduced compared with traditional surgery, almost achieving zero bleeding after surgery; 4.
