There is no clear clinical evidence that leukoaraiosis causes elevated uric acid, which may be due to overproduction of uric acid, hematologic disorders, and kidney disease. Leukoaraiosis is Behçet’s syndrome, the disease mainly involves blood vessels, nerves and other systems, when it involves the large and medium arteries may have joint pain symptoms, need to be differentiated from the elevated uric acid leading to gout joint pain symptoms, but there is no clear clinical evidence to prove that leukoaraiosis can cause uric acid elevation. Consumption of seafood, beans and soy products, animal offal and other high-purine foods, alcohol consumption, increased nucleic acid metabolism and other factors may lead to excessive production of uric acid. Blood system diseases such as acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, hemolytic anemia and other blood system diseases can cause elevated uric acid secondary. Renal diseases such as renal tubular disease and renal insufficiency may cause impaired excretion of uric acid and thus elevated uric acid. There may be other reasons for elevated uric acid, so patients are advised to go to the endocrinology department or rheumatology and immunology department of regular hospitals for detailed consultation.
