Is hiccups and acid reflux an early sign of stomach cancer?

  Burping and acid reflux may not necessarily be a sign of early stage of stomach cancer, but other stomach diseases may cause the above symptoms.  Usually, patients with gastric cancer have no specific symptoms or even no symptoms in the early stage. As the disease progresses, symptoms such as hiccups and acid reflux may occur when the cancer affects the stomach function, but these are not unique to cancer. Some patients may also have non-specific manifestations such as fullness after eating and nausea. In advanced stages, wasting, anemia, abdominal masses and abdominal pain are often seen. In addition, chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer and other diseases may also present with hiccups and acid reflux symptoms. Patients are advised to visit the gastroenterology department of a hospital in a timely manner for gastroscopy, colonoscopy and other related examinations to clarify the specific cause before proceeding with related treatment.  People with poor gastric function are advised to pay attention to dietary rules in daily life, eat easily digestible foods such as noodles, and have regular stomach examinations, which can achieve early detection and early treatment to a certain extent.
