Hiccups may not necessarily be an early symptom of stomach cancer, but may be caused by cold after eating too hot food. Involuntary contraction of diaphragm is the cause of hiccups, which may also be caused by gastrointestinal dysfunction, loss of appetite and indigestion, commonly caused by gastritis and gastric ulcer, etc. Gastric cancer can also cause hiccups, which needs to be judged together with the patient’s specific situation. In clinical practice, after major gastric resection, patients with long-term persistent hiccups after surgery should consider whether there is a subdiaphragmatic infection, which can be clearly diagnosed by CT, and diaphragmatic spasm is mostly caused by inflammation or other reasons. If problems in the stomach are considered, gastroscopy, abdominal ultrasound and other related examinations can be performed, and treatment can be considered only after the examination is clear. Patients with early gastric cancer do not have clear symptoms, sometimes they may experience upper abdominal discomfort, fullness and nausea after eating, and the gastric sinus often appears similar to duodenal ulcer, but there are no specific symptoms.
