What happens when water parasites get into your body?

Water parasites that enter the body without causing an infection usually have no symptoms, but if they do cause an infection, they may cause different symptoms depending on the location of the infection.
If the parasites in the water enter the body, they may not cause infection due to the body’s good resistance or the direct expulsion of the parasites from the body, and thus no abnormal symptoms may occur.
However, if the parasites enter the body and cause an infection, such as schistosomiasis, it may lead to dermatitis at the invasion site, fever, generalized rash, diarrhea and abdominal pain, etc.; tapeworm infections may cause abdominal distension, diarrhea, weight loss, nausea and other symptoms.
So if the parasites in the water to the inside of the body, or inadvertently eat food containing parasites should promptly seek medical examination. Fish and shrimp and other aquatic products have a higher chance of containing parasites, so please avoid eating them raw and it is recommended to cook them well before consumption.
