Is throat pain like pins and needles throat cancer?

Throat pain like pins and needles may be caused by laryngeal cancer, but it is mostly seen in diseases such as acute pharyngitis and acute tonsillitis. Laryngeal cancer can cause pins and needles pain, especially supraglottic laryngeal cancer. If the surface of the cancer breaks down, it can cause pain that radiates to the ear and worsens when swallowing. Clinically, pinprick-like pain in the throat is commonly caused by inflammatory diseases, such as acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis and so on. If it is acute pharyngitis, mostly caused by bacterial and viral infections, partly due to the stimulation of air and environmental factors or poor resistance to infection, it is recommended to pay more attention to rest, drink more water, under the guidance of the doctor to perform nebulizer inhalation treatment. If the patient’s symptoms are severe and accompanied by fever, antibiotics or Chinese medicine to clear the heat and detoxify the toxin can be used for treatment. If it is caused by acute tonsillitis, treatment is mainly based on anti-inflammatory and antipyretic drugs. If the throat is as painful as pins and needles, it is recommended to go to the ENT department in time for examination to identify the cause and treat accordingly.
