Adverse reactions include visible nausea, vomiting, stomach or abdominal discomfort or pain and may reduce bowel movements, causing constipation and black stools.
Iron dextrose granules are contraindicated in patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers, ulcerative colitis, and those who are allergic to the product.
In addition the drug should not be used for a long period of time, it should be used after a physician has confirmed the diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia, and blood and serum iron levels should be checked regularly during treatment.
Use with caution in the following cases: alcoholism, hepatitis, acute infections, intestinal inflammation, pancreatitis.
