How to get an ultrasound of the prostate

Prostate ultrasound is one of the common screening tools for urologic diseases. Prostate ultrasound can be divided into transabdominal wall and transrectal examination, as follows: 1. Transabdominal wall prostate ultrasound: patients should hold their urine properly before the examination, but the bladder should not be too full, otherwise it will also affect the examination effect. Taking the bladder as a reference, it can detect the size and shape of the prostate, whether the echo is even, and whether there is any mass. The advantage is convenient and quick, the disadvantage is that it is not intuitive and the detection effect is poor. 2. Transrectal prostate ultrasound: using a special ultrasound probe into the rectum to detect the prostate, the internal structure of the prostate is more clearly and accurately displayed. The disadvantage is that the probe into the rectum will have localized up feeling and discomfort. Prostate ultrasound can be used to diagnose benign prostatic hyperplasia or prostate cancer, etc. If abnormalities are found in the physical examination report, you should consult a doctor in time to avoid aggravation of the condition and delay in treatment.
