If the lymph node enlargement is caused by tumor, it is usually difficult to cure, but if it is caused by inflammation, it can mostly be cured. How long the enlarged lymph nodes can be cured depends on the patient’s own healing ability and the severity of the enlarged lymph nodes. If the patient’s own healing ability is strong, and the degree of lymph node enlargement caused by local infection is mild, the patient’s local infection can be completely controlled after the enlarged lymph nodes can subside on their own, which usually takes 5-7 days. If the patient’s own healing ability is poor, the localized enlarged lymph nodes are heavily infected, in this case the patient’s healing time is longer, and some patients even need 2-3 weeks to heal completely. For patients with enlarged lymph nodes combined with abscess formation, the lymph nodes are often not able to heal on their own, and require surgical incision of the abscess, debridement and drainage, and strengthen the anti-infective treatment, in order to promote the early recovery of the lymph nodes to normal.
