What are the indications for gamma knife treatment of lung cancer?

Lung cancer is one of the malignant tumors that are very prone to metastasis, so far, the clinical treatment of lung cancer with gamma knife technology has been very mature, in general, primary lung cancer and metastatic lung cancer (such as liver cancer lung metastasis) are suitable targets for body gamma knife treatment. As for some larger or more number of lung cancer tumor lesions, in patients whose general condition allows, who expect other treatment difficulties or who have difficulty in obtaining satisfactory results, they can try to artificially divide the treatment volume and implement treatment in stages. The indications for gamma knife treatment of primary lung cancer lesions or metastatic lung lesions are: atelectasis and superior vena cava obstruction caused by tumor or mediastinal lymph gland compression such as airway compression; 1, patients who are not sensitive to chemotherapy or allergic to drugs and refuse chemotherapy; 2, the general condition is still good, life can basically take care of themselves; 3, limited lesions, single or less than three isolated lesions, the maximum diameter generally requires less than 6 4, the patient has surgical contraindications such as low respiratory reserve function; 5, the patient can not tolerate conventional external irradiation; 6, surgical residual lesions or postoperative recurrent lesions. Clinical cases have confirmed that the best indication for body gamma knife is early-stage, but there are surgical contraindications to peripheral non-small cell lung cancer, and research has proved that body gamma knife alone can achieve a very high rate of complete remission for this type of patients, and also has a very high efficiency for localized lesions in patients with intermediate and advanced lung cancer.
