Soreness and pain in the calf tummy have little to do with gender, and there are many reasons for it, which are commonly seen after exercise, muscle strain, varicose veins of the lower limbs, lumbar disc herniation, etc.
1. After exercise, muscle strain: strenuous exercise, such as long-distance running, may lead to lactic acid accumulation, causing muscle soreness; or sprinting or jumping, calf muscle tension leads to excessive stretching of muscle fibers, resulting in muscle strain or rupture, manifested as a sudden soreness and pain in the muscles, often accompanied by strained parts of the activities of the functional limitations.
2. Varicose veins of lower limbs: the valve dysfunction of superficial veins of lower limbs makes the blood in the veins reflux, and with the stagnation of blood in the veins and the increase of pressure in the veins, it leads to the expansion, bulging and tortuous of the wall of the veins involved, most of them do not have obvious uncomfortable symptoms, and some of the patients can have the uncomfortable sensation of soreness and swelling pain in the legs in the early stage.
3. Lumbar disc herniation: due to the herniated nucleus pulposus can irritate or compress the nerve root and cauda equina, manifesting as lumbar pain, radiating pain in the lower limbs, aching and swelling, often accompanied by numbness of the lower limbs, weakness and other symptoms.
Soreness and pain in the lower leg may have other causes such as cold, exertion, etc. If the symptoms continue to be unrelieved, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment.
