Follicular keratotic papules is actually a descriptive dermatologic condition; it is not the name of a skin disease. If a follicular keratotic papule is present, it has several disease possibilities. Usually perifollicular keratosis is more likely and is a common symptom. In the case of perifollicular keratosis, adapalene gel can usually be applied topically, which can be effective in relieving perifollicular keratotic lesions. Of course, you can also take oral anti-keratosis drugs, you can take oral adapalene or oral retinoic acid capsules, and then appropriate topical vitamin E cream for moisturizing relief. In addition to this, of course, follicular keratotic papules can also occur in ichthyosis, and the treatment plan is the same as that for keratosis pilaris.
