Traditional Chinese Medicine for Gallstones

Chinese medicine methods for treating gallstones include acupuncture on the gallbladder, Yanglingquan and other acupoints, and the use of Chinese medicines such as cholagogue tablets and cholentone capsules. Gallstones belong to the category of “dystocia” in traditional Chinese medicine, mostly solid evidence, the location of the disease in the gallbladder, and the close relationship with the liver, the basic mechanism is the gallbladder qi congestion, not through the pain. 1. It is mainly used for the treatment of dystocia, stomach and epigastric pain, inability to pass stools, and short and red urine (small amount of urine with dark yellow color) caused by liver and gallbladder dampness-heat (dampness-heat evils accumulated in the liver and gallbladder). The adverse effects of Li-Bile Tablet are not clear. Avoid eating greasy food during the medication, pregnant women should be careful. Cholentone capsule has the effect of clearing away heat and relieving bile, antispasmodic and analgesic. It is used for acute and chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis, gallbladder, biliary tract stones combined with infection, postoperative gallbladder syndrome, biliary tract functional disorders. Individual patients may have dizziness, abdominal distension, chest tightness, skin rash, diarrhea and other adverse reactions, can disappear on their own after stopping the drug. Use with caution in patients with jaundice due to obstructive or infectious diseases.
