What causes greasy ears?

Oily ears are related to heredity, and may be caused by developed glands and other factors, or may be a manifestation of disease.
1. Lipid ear leakage: commonly known as “greasy ear”, it is thin soy sauce-colored oily cerumen, usually accompanied by wide ear canals, often associated with racial heredity. In most people, the cerumen is flaky after drying in the air; in some people, the cerumen is like sticky grease, commonly known as “greasy ear”.
2. Developed glands: When the ear glands are developed, the sebaceous glands in the external auditory canal metabolize exuberantly, which can lead to an increase in earwax secretion and is oily in nature, and an accumulation of too much can lead to the appearance of oily ears.
The appearance of oily ears, may also be the external auditory canal stenosis, external auditory canal eczema, purulent otitis media and other diseases, caused by cerumen increase, there is oozing, as if the oily ears, it is recommended to seek medical attention, to determine whether it is a normal situation, or caused by disease, and comply with the doctor’s instructions to deal with.
