Lung puncture or direct surgery is better

Whether lung puncture or direct surgery is better needs to be analyzed according to the patient’s condition. Usually, puncture biopsy refers to the removal of nodular tissue by puncture with a fine needle under the guidance of ultrasound or CT, and then sent to the pathology department for testing. Puncture biopsy is usually applied to low-risk patients with lung cancer who are old, in poor health and inoperable. Puncture biopsy can make a clear diagnosis earlier and provide some basis for subsequent treatment. Generally direct surgery is applicable to cases with obvious nodal cancer features, and also applicable to cases that meet the indications for surgery. Generally, the size and morphological features of the nodule can be seen through tumor markers and CT examination. If the nodule is too small, direct surgery can be performed because the lung tissue will rise and fall during breathing, so it is more difficult to puncture. Patients should actively seek medical attention if they find lung nodules and undergo surgery under the supervision of a doctor.
