Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women. Surgery is the first treatment option for breast cancer patients, supplemented by radiotherapy and other treatments when necessary. If there is a recurrence at a later stage, the symptoms vary depending on the site of recurrence: 1. Local recurrence: Local recurrence means that the tumor only recurs in the primary site, such as recurrence after breast conservation only appears as a new lump in the breast. Patients may develop tumor nodules, most of which are located under the skin and on the skin, and individual ones will form ulcers under the skin; 2. Regional recurrence: Regional recurrence refers to the drainage of the primary breast cancer and the emergence of recurrence or metastasis. Mainly, enlarged lymph nodes or asymptomatic lumps are found in the axilla or supraclavicular fossa. Symptoms such as cough, dyspnea, weakness, abdominal distension and pain in the liver may occur; 3. Distant metastasis: Distant metastasis refers to the involvement of other parts of the body such as lung, bone, liver, etc. Symptoms such as pain, cough, coughing up blood, dyspnea, jaundice and abdominal pain may occur. Brain metastases from breast cancer are easily detected, and patients have persistent severe headache accompanied by nausea, vomiting, aphasia and cognitive impairment. Therefore, once the symptoms of recurrence appear or patients experience discomfort, they should immediately go to the hospital for examination and treatment under the guidance of the doctor, and be reviewed regularly at a later stage.
