What is the tearing pain in the chest and back and a large difference in pulse pressure in both upper limbs?

Consider a possible aortic coarctation and prompt medical attention is recommended.
The site of aortic coarctation is often closely related to the location of origin of the coarctation lesion, with tearing pain peaking rapidly after onset.
Most patients are hypertensive and have a large difference in blood pressure between the two upper or upper and lower extremities. Aortic dissection is a very urgent condition and needs to be treated immediately in the emergency room, otherwise severe shock or even death can occur if the dissection ruptures and bleeds.
