It is often used clinically for the evidence of wind-phlegm upheaval, especially for dizziness, headache, stuffiness in the chest and diaphragm, nausea, vomiting, white and greasy tongue coating and slippery pulse. In modern clinical practice, it is commonly used to treat otogenic vertigo, hypertension, neurogenic vertigo, epilepsy, facial nerve palsy, neurological tinnitus, etc. which belong to wind-phlegm upper disturbance, and all of them can be treated with Radix Bupleurum and Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae Tang.
