Sweating of hands and feet may be caused by internal heat due to yin deficiency, dampness-heat in the middle jiao, or yang-ming heat, etc. It is recommended that the cause be clarified under the guidance of a doctor and in conjunction with systemic symptoms. Yin deficiency and internal heat refers to a deficiency of yin in the organism, resulting in relative exuberance of yang qi and the production of deficiency heat, which leads to sweating of the hands and feet, as well as paroxysmal fever, sweating at night after falling asleep and stopping after waking up, flushed cheeks, redness, heat and flushing, and dryness of the mouth and thirst. Liver Yin deficiency can be seen as dryness of the eyes, dizziness, tinnitus; Kidney Yin deficiency can be seen as soreness of the waist and knees. It can be treated with Liu Wei Di Huang Wan. It is contraindicated in patients with cold and fever and liver and kidney insufficiency. Damp-heat in the middle Jiao refers to the dampness in the middle Jiao, spleen and stomach, which turns into heat. When heat is compressed, the fluid goes out, resulting in sweating of hands and feet, which may be accompanied by body heat (feeling hot all over the body, but not very hot when touching the skin), limb fatigue (weakness of the limbs, sinking of the limbs), and a lack of desire to eat and drink. Treatment options include Scutellaria Scutellaria Tang. It is contraindicated for those who have diarrhea due to deficiency-cold diarrhea (diarrhea caused by deficiency-cold in the spleen and stomach and unfavorable transport and digestion). Yangming Heat Sheng refers to the exuberance of heat in the stomach, which forces the excretion of fluids, resulting in sweating of the hands and feet, which may be accompanied by dry mouth, thirst, constipation, and short and reddish urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow in color). It can be treated with Bai Hu Tang. It is not suitable for those with unresolved superficial symptoms (patients with superficial evil). The above medicines are recommended to be used after asking the doctor. For sweaty hands and feet, it is recommended to ask the doctor to clarify the cause of the disease together with the systemic symptoms and standardize the treatment, do not self-medicate to avoid adverse reactions.
