Can I get prostate cancer after surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia?

Many people think that after undergoing surgery for prostate enlargement, they will not get prostate cancer again, and many of them even come to prostate enlargement surgery with the purpose of “preventing” prostate cancer, thinking that if they have their prostate cut off, they will not get prostate cancer again. In fact, this is not true. Before undergoing prostate enlargement surgery, your doctor will tell you that there is still a chance of prostate cancer after prostate enlargement surgery. This is why? The prostate gland is like a complete orange, the prostate enlargement is good in its central area, like the orange petal, while the prostate cancer is good in its peripheral area, like the orange peel part. The prostate cancer is usually found in the peripheral part of the prostate, like the orange peel. The most common type of prostate cancer is still in our body after surgery, so there is still a possibility of prostate cancer. This surgery is much more difficult and risky than prostate enlargement surgery, so it is not suitable for patients with benign prostate enlargement.
