Nimesulide granules, which are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, have anti-inflammatory and analgesic as well as antipyretic effects. The mechanism of action of this drug is not yet very clear, but may be mainly related to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, the inhibition of leukocyte mediator release, and the oxidative response of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. In clinical practice, this drug is mainly used in chronic arthritis, such as rheumatic and rheumatoid arthritis, or osteoarthritis of the knee and hip joints. It also provides good relief for pain and inflammation caused by surgery and acute trauma. It is also good for pain caused by inflammation of the ear, nose and throat, as well as menstrual pain. It can effectively treat fever and other symptoms caused by upper respiratory tract infections. However, the main adverse effects of this drug are heartburn, nausea, and stomach pain, which are usually mild and rarely require interruption of treatment. There is also a very small number of patients who may develop an allergic rash that requires active attention.
