What causes women to sweat in the middle of the night

Women sweating in the middle of the night may be a physiological phenomenon triggered by menopause, after childbirth, overwork, hot and stuffy environment, or it may be caused by yin deficiency, qi deficiency and so on.
1. Physiological.
(1) During menopause or after childbirth, women will experience midnight sweating due to large changes in hormone levels in the body.
(2) Due to overwork during the day or the environment is hot and stuffy will also sweat, is a normal phenomenon, appropriate adjustment can be relieved.
2. Pathologic.
(1) Yin deficiency: This refers to the loss of yin fluid (the body’s fluid, blood, etc.), an imbalance between yin and yang in the body, and hyperactivity of yang (i.e., internal heat). Patients experience symptoms such as flushed cheeks, dry throat, hot flashes (a burst of heat) and night sweats (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up). Medications (Tianwangxin Tonic Dan, Zuogui Pill, etc.) or acupuncture can be given under the guidance of a physician after consultation.
(2) Qi deficiency: Insufficient generation of Qi leads to insufficient vital energy in the body, which in turn affects the normal functioning of the body’s organs. Patients may have symptoms such as shortness of breath and few words, sweating at all times, fatigue and dizziness. The patient should consult the Chinese medicine department in time, and be given corresponding medication, massage, acupuncture and other treatments under the guidance of the physician.
When women experience sweating in the middle of the night, they should consult a doctor as soon as possible after eliminating physiological factors, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
