Having painful contractions but not seeing red and not breaking water does not necessarily mean that you are about to give birth, and should be further analyzed on a case-by-case basis.
Irregular contractions, called pseudocontractions, can occur in the middle and late stages of pregnancy. Pseudocontractions occur at irregular times and intervals and vary in strength. Since false contractions are not accompanied by dilatation of the cervix or descent of the fetal head, labor is not imminent in this case, so you can continue to wait for labor at home and observe the vaginal bleeding and water breakage.
If the false contractions become regular contractions, longer and longer duration, shorter and shorter intervals, stronger and stronger, accompanied by dilatation of the uterus, it is suggestive of labor, it is best to go to the hospital to wait for the birth, if the uterus is still in labor after the mouth is wide open and does not break the water, if necessary, the doctor will choose to artificially rupture the membranes to ensure that the process of labor advances smoothly.
