Children’s old blinking eyes may be caused by emotional problems, or physiological or pathological factors.
1. Emotional problems: mainly related to thinking and emotions, when the child is in excessive tension and anxiety, it will cause frequent blinking, and some children will also blink when they are highly concentrated in thinking.
2. Physiological factors: excessive eye use, resulting in eye fatigue; frequent blinking due to dry eyes, or frequent blinking due to eyelid discomfort caused by blepharitis or inverted eyelashes, which requires moderate rest and timely treatment.
3. Pathological factors: Conjunctivitis is mainly caused by viral or bacterial stimulation, through examination, according to the cause of the disease, the use of antiviral or anti-allergic eye drops for treatment.
If the blinking is accompanied by shrugging of the nose and raising of the eyebrows, it may be ADHD or Tourette’s Syndrome.
There may be other reasons for your child’s blinking, so it is advisable to go to the hospital in time for a complete examination to determine the cause of the blinking, and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
