Fatigue, loss of appetite, fever and other symptoms may appear in the early stage of liver disease, and steatorrhea and jaundice may appear in the later stage. 1. Fatigue: Liver participates in sugar metabolism, protein metabolism and fat metabolism of the human body, providing energy for the body. Liver disease patients have decreased liver function, which cannot provide sufficient energy for the body, thus symptoms such as fatigue appear. 2. Loss of appetite: the liver is the largest digestive organ in the human body. Patients with liver disease have decreased digestive function of the liver, which may lead to symptoms such as loss of appetite and nausea. 3. Fever: patients with infectious hepatitis or alcoholic hepatitis may have fever. 4. Steatorrhea: Bile is secreted by liver cells and excreted through bile ducts. Patients with liver disease may have cholestasis, which reduces the amount of bile entering the small intestine and makes it difficult to digest fats, eventually leading to steatorrhea. 5. Jaundice: Damaged liver cells are unable to take up bilirubin from the blood, resulting in hyperbilirubinemia and jaundice. Jaundice can also be caused by cholestasis. Symptoms of liver disease are not limited to those mentioned above. In the early stages of liver disease, there are usually no specific symptoms, which can be easily overlooked by the patient. If the above symptoms are not relieved, the patient should go to the hospital for prompt and regular treatment.
