Rabies virus may be contracted from a hedgehog sting. Rabies virus is a virus that exists in nature, and the original infected hosts may be animals such as foxes, wolves and bats. The virus carried by these animals can be transmitted to animals in close contact with humans through the skin mucous membranes and the digestive tract. When stabbed by a hedgehog, it can be treated by rinsing with running water, disinfecting bandages with alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, and oral antibiotics (e.g. amoxicillin, cefadroxil, and other antibiotics), while rabies vaccine and tetanus antitoxin should be injected to prevent the development of the disease. If there is a hedgehog stabbed after the situation, should promptly seek medical treatment under the guidance of the doctor for targeted treatment, to avoid adverse consequences.
