Obesity can cause so many problems that people find hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, fatty liver, diabetes, sleep apnea syndrome, etc. are gradually coming into daily life. Teenagers also consume a lot of obesity-causing foods too early, resulting in obesity at an early age. But what exactly is the impact of fat on our social life, such as, job hunting, courting, social, and so on. According to psychologists, fat people generally have lower self-esteem, higher anxiety and depression. Compared to the 7-10% of the population with moderate to severe depressive mood, the percentage of fat people with moderate to severe depressive mood episodes is more than 20%, basically 2-3 times higher than the average person. So basically, there is no fat heart, fat mood will be worse. The psychological problems brought about by “fat” are also very cruel to children. A longitudinal psychological trial of 8,000 kindergarten children in the United States showed that children who began to gain weight in kindergarten had significant social discomfort and low self-esteem problems by the third grade. Twenty years ago, the average age at which girls first understood and tried to “lose weight” was 14; today, the average age is 8. In more than a quarter of school bullying cases, the target of the bullying is a small, fat child in the classroom. Obesity brings social problems More than half of the HR managers interviewed admitted that they are reluctant to hire fat people because they feel that fat people represent “laziness”, “lack of self-control”, “less mobility and more susceptibility to work-related injuries”, and “more likely to not show up for work because of illness”. Other conditions being equal, they will choose the thin one. When dating, fat people are often rejected by the opposite sex. Relatively speaking, female fat people are hit more in the dating market: the opposite sex does not want to date for the purpose of marriage. Therefore, obesity brings people not only physical problems, but also psychological problems, and more importantly, physical health problems.
