How to do with low amniotic fluid in pregnant women

Amniotic fluid is the fluid in the amniotic cavity of the uterus at the time of pregnancy and is an important component essential for the fetus to sustain life. If the amniotic fluid is low, it can lead to oxygen deprivation and even suffocation in the baby, which can be life-threatening in severe cases. The first thing to understand is the cause of low amniotic fluid. If it is wet underwear, you will feel the amniotic fluid leaking out, consider the amniotic membrane rupture caused by low amniotic fluid, you can confirm the diagnosis through obstetrics and gynecology examination. If the rupture is a small one, it may heal on its own. After healing, it will return to normal and the amniotic fluid will no longer leak out. If there is a disease in the body, such as chronic hypertension, diabetes, lupus, etc., it can also lead to low amniotic fluid and needs to be treated promptly for the cause. If the low amniotic fluid occurs in early or mid pregnancy, the baby may have a birth defect, such as a congenital heart defect. You need to replenish the amniotic fluid in time, the pregnant mother can drink more water, more soup, glucose water, more soy milk, etc. to replenish, you can also supplement vitamins, eat more nutritious food, so that the amniotic fluid will rise faster. If the amniotic fluid is low in the first trimester, you can use the amniotic fluid infusion method to increase the amniotic fluid volume. If the fetus is at full term and survives outside the uterus, termination of pregnancy can be considered. In cases of fetal distress and severe fetal fecal contamination, cesarean section is also considered for termination of pregnancy to minimize the rate of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Regular checkups should be done during pregnancy. It is recommended to rest on the left side of the bed to improve the blood supply to the placenta, cooperate with treatment, and drink more water on a daily basis.
