The painful facial twitches caused by trigeminal neuralgia are sudden, without any aura, mostly on one side. Prevention methods for painful face twitching: 1. Diet should be regular, and it is advisable to choose soft and easy-to-chew food. Patients whose pain is induced by chewing should eat a liquid diet, never eat fried things, and should not eat irritating, overly acidic and sweet food as well as hot food. Diet should be nutritious, usually eat more vitamin-rich and detoxifying foods. Eat more fresh fruits, vegetables and beans, less fatty meat and more lean meat, food to light is appropriate.
