Treatment of stubborn mixed melasma

For epidermal melasma, intense pulsed light can lighten or control it. However, for pigment in the dermis of mixed melasma, a deeper penetrating laser is needed for treatment. We use the following sequential therapy 1. 2-3 times of intense pulsed light treatment with 1 month interval 2. 6-10 times of Q-switched Nd-YAG laser treatment twice a week. The type of melasma in this patient was mixed type, and the patches were still dark in color and very distinct in outline despite our 5 treatments with intense pulsed light. Therefore, we suggested her as a volunteer to receive laser treatment on one side of the face. After about 8 treatments, the patches on the left side (treatment side) of the face had largely faded, while the patches on the right side (control side) were still very visible. Both of the above methods are completely non-invasive treatments that do not require rest. During the treatment period, it is also necessary to: 1. use external whitening medical skin care products, such as Corexit Whitening Gel, Ximax L-Vc Serum, Thousand White Cream, etc. 2. take strict sun protection, use medical sunscreen, such as Jin Yi Natural Sunscreen, etc. 3.Take Vc orally, 0.1g each time, three times a day. 4.Can intravenous drip glutathione
