How does Chinese medicine treat psoriasis?

Many people have symptoms of sore throat, nasal congestion and runny nose before they develop psoriasis, and doctors often ask patients whether they had a cold or upper respiratory tract infection before the onset of the disease when inquiring about their condition. However, whether infection is the cause of psoriasis is not conclusive and is only in the doctrinal stage. The most common infections associated with psoriasis are tonsillitis, pharyngitis and colds. In addition, hepatitis, nephritis and otitis media can also trigger or aggravate the disease. The onset of psoriasis is related to infection, so psoriasis patients should pay attention to prevent colds and upper respiratory tract infections from triggering the disease, whether during treatment or after cure. Can psoriasis be “eradicated”? The so-called “root” refers to the cause of a disease. Only when the cause of the disease is removed can the “root” be removed. Psoriasis is a kind of skin disease with unknown cause, and its pathogenesis needs to be further researched, so it is not scientific to say that psoriasis can be “eradicated”. Through drug treatment, all the skin lesions of psoriasis can subside and achieve clinical cure. However, psoriasis can still recur, and some people do not have recurrence for many years after being cured, while others have recurrence and aggravation year after year. It has been statistically proven that the faster the lesions fade during psoriasis treatment, the shorter the interval between recurrences. This statement needs to be confirmed by more information. At present, Western medicine treats psoriasis mainly with topical drugs, mostly corticosteroids, retinoids, coal tar preparations, etc. Internal drugs are mainly immunosuppressive and antitumor drugs. These drugs can only alleviate the disease to some extent, but of course cannot achieve the purpose of “eliminating the root”. Chinese medicine has unique advantages in the treatment of psoriasis and the prevention of recurrence. Chinese medicine treatment has little toxic side effects, low recurrence rate, safe and effective, and some patients have not relapsed for more than 20 years after being cured by Chinese medicine treatment. The onset of most psoriasis is seasonal, and whenever the onset of the season comes, according to the theory of Chinese medicine, the treatment can cool the blood and invigorate it, clear heat and detoxify it, which can prevent or reduce the recurrence of psoriasis. How does TCM treat psoriasis? The key to TCM treatment lies in mastering the etiology and pathogenesis of psoriasis and the differentiation and typing of symptoms. The onset of this disease is due to the lack of endowment, the couples are loose, the wind evil outside the bundle, the loss of harmony between qi and blood, blocking the muscle surface, the Yang Qi closed and depressed, containing and turning into heat, the heat Sheng Sheng wind and dry, blocking the muscle surface and born; disease for a long time, qi and blood depletion, blood deficiency and wind, skin loss of nourishment; or by the loss of harmony between Ying and Wei, the flow of qi and blood is blocked, resulting in stasis blocking the muscle surface and the onset of disease.
