Nucleic acid testing cannot be self-tested, and antigen testing can be done on one’s own. Nucleic acid testing cannot be self-tested because it requires steps of sampling, transportation and experimentation. On the one hand, it may not be possible to collect a valid sample by self-sampling, and on the other hand, the experimentation for nucleic acid testing requires specialized instruments and solutions, which cannot be done by ordinary people, and therefore it is not possible to conduct self-testing for nucleic acid testing. However, it is possible to perform self-testing for antigens, i.e. to detect the presence of new coronavirus antigens, which is an important way of early screening. By collecting a sample from the nose and mixing it completely with a solution in a test tube, after which the solution is dropped onto a self-testing test stick, the presence or absence of neocoronavirus antigens is determined based on the results, but ultimately the results of the nucleic acid test are also required.
