There is a lack of effective treatment for recurrent EBV infections, but a three-step therapy can help improve the patient’s clinical symptoms. 1. Immunomodulatory therapy: the first step of treatment, i.e. using prednisolone, cyclosporine and etoposide to inhibit activated T/NK cells. 2. Multi-drug combination chemotherapy: as the second step of treatment, the aim is to remove EBV-infected T and NK cells as much as possible to improve the success rate of subsequent transplantation. 3. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: the third step of treatment, which can remove the residual EBV infected cells and rebuild the normal immune function of the body. The pathogenesis of recurrent EBV infection is still unclear, early diagnosis is difficult and treatment options are limited. However, if the patient has long-term recurrent fever, hepatosplenomegaly, enlarged lymph nodes, fatigue, anemia and other symptoms, it is necessary to consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of the doctor for appropriate treatment.
