Difference between norfloxacin and berberine hydrochloride

Norfloxacin belongs to quinolone antibacterial drugs, while Berberine Hydrochloride is an alkaloid extracted from Phellodendron Bark, Huanglian and other traditional Chinese medicines, and there are differences between the two in terms of drug composition, antimicrobial spectrum, adverse reactions, contraindications and so on. 1. Composition: Norfloxacin belongs to western medicine, which is a quinolone antibacterial drug; while Berberine Hydrochloride belongs to proprietary Chinese medicine, and its main ingredient, Berberine, is an alkaloid extracted from Chinese traditional medicine ingredients such as Phellodendron Bark, Rhizoma Polygonatum Odoratum, and three needles. 2. Antibacterial spectrum: Norfloxacin is mainly used to treat infectious diseases caused by Gram-negative bacteria, while Berberine Hydrochloride has effects on both Gram-positive and negative bacteria, and is mainly used to treat intestinal infectious diseases and bacillary dysentery. 3. Adverse reactions: the common adverse reactions of norfloxacin include gastrointestinal reactions such as abdominal discomfort or pain, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting, allergic reactions such as rash and itching, as well as central nervous system reactions such as headache and insomnia, etc.; the common adverse reactions of berberine hydrochloride include nausea, vomiting, skin rash and medicinal fever. 4.
