Symptoms after cerebellar resection are related to the extent and location of the resection. Different resection ranges and sites produce different symptoms. 1. When the resection scope is small and the non-functional area is removed: in this case, the patient usually has no symptoms, or the symptoms are mild. The main reason is that the brain function compensates for part of the cerebellar function. 2. When the resection area is large, and the resection reaches the functional area: In this case, the patient will have a series of symptoms. Patients may have balance disorders, unsteady walking, easy to fall, wide step base, which is common in vestibular cerebellar function damage; when the spinal cerebellar function is damaged, patients may have intentional tremor, ataxia; when the cortical cerebellum is damaged, patients have no obvious performance. For patients with a series of symptoms after cerebellar resection, they should go to the relevant departments of regular hospitals and be treated under the guidance of specialized physicians, so as to avoid delaying the condition and causing adverse effects.
