Endometrial thickening can be treated with a Mannorrhea IUD, but it is important to note that a diagnostic scraping must be done before the Mannorrhea IUD can be performed, mainly to find out what causes the thickening of the endometrium. If the thickening of the endometrium is caused by simple hyperplasia of the endometrium, the IUD can be performed or if there is no other pathology and the thickening of the endometrium causes increased menstrual flow, the IUD can also be performed, or if the endometrium is altered due to polyps. The main purpose of treatment is to inhibit the growth of the endometrium and prevent the endometrium from re-growing or polypoidal changes by using the IUD. It is not recommended to blindly insert the IUD without a pathological diagnosis.
