Can you still ovulate with blocked fallopian tubes?

Ovulation is mainly done by the ovaries, so blocked fallopian tubes do not affect ovulation. However, in women with blocked fallopian tubes, it may be difficult for the ovum to meet the sperm, thus making pregnancy difficult. For women, as long as the ovaries, hypothalamus and pituitary gland are functioning normally and they have a certain number of eggs in reserve, they can usually ovulate, which means that whether the ovaries ovulate normally or not is not related to the fallopian tubes. However, if a woman’s fallopian tubes are partially or completely blocked due to infection or injury, the sperm and egg cannot unite smoothly or the fertilized egg cannot enter the uterus, causing infertility. Blocked fallopian tubes are one of the most important causes of female infertility. Usually patients do not feel obvious symptoms and are usually only detected during examinations, but some women may show symptoms of reproductive tract infections. Treatment is usually surgical. Female infertility can be caused by a variety of reasons. If a blocked fallopian tube is diagnosed, there is no need to be discouraged. In some women, surgical treatment can restore patency to the fallopian tubes and successfully complete conception. It is recommended to exercise moderately in life to enhance physical fitness and to actively treat the problem when it is detected.
