Does gout recur?

Gout can have recurrent attacks. After the initial onset of gout, if there is no active intervention treatment, the number of gouty arthritis attacks will become more and more frequent, and the duration of each attack will be gradually prolonged, and ultimately the patient will be transformed into chronic gouty arthritis, which is a very common feature of gout. In order to reduce the recurrence of gouty arthritis attacks, the key to treatment lies in lowering the blood uric acid level, and gout patients are generally required to keep their blood uric acid level below 360 μmol/L, so as to control the activity of gout condition. As for patients with chronic gouty arthritis, who have developed gout stones, it is generally recommended to control blood uric acid below 300 μmol/L. Only by controlling at this blood uric acid level state, can the urate crystals in the body be gradually dissolved, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the condition.
