Hepatitis B, as we commonly call it, is viral hepatitis B, an infectious disease caused by the hepatitis B virus. The result of hepatitis B virus infection in the body is related to one’s own rabbit immunity. If the immune function is normal, the disease manifests as acute hepatitis B and the virus clears. If hyper-immune, it manifests as liver failure with a mortality rate of more than 90%. If immune is low or deficient, the hepatitis B virus is not fully cleared and will turn into chronic hepatitis B. Most adults who are infected with the hepatitis B virus will clear on their own and become immune (2,4,5 or 2,5 positive diphosphere results). A small percentage of adults develop acute hepatitis B. The majority of patients with acute hepatitis B recover completely and become immune. Only a very small number of patients with acute hepatitis B, and those infected with hepatitis B virus through mother-to-child transmission or as young children, and a very small number of infected adults eventually become chronic hepatitis B patients.
