About endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma

The incidence of uterine sarcoma itself is low. The recurrence rate is high and the prognosis is poor. 5-year survival rate is 20-30%, and the prognosis is related to the type of sarcoma, malignancy and tumor stage, presence of vascular lymphatic metastasis and treatment method. Low-grade malignant endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma has a relatively good prognosis. Currently, chemotherapy for this tumor is in controversy, but most physicians advocate chemotherapy. with a regimen containing isocyclophosphamide. Low-grade malignant endometrial mesenchymal sarcoma contains estrogen and progesterone receptors, which are effective for progesterone therapy, and high doses of high efficiency are appropriate. So it is also emphasized that the pathology must be immunohistochemistry to see if the tissue has estrogen and progestin receptors. It is recommended that the staging of the disease be clarified before further treatment is considered.
