The normal for leukocyte esterase is negative and is marked with a (-) sign on the laboratory test sheet. It is usually measured for gynecological disease vaginitis, and the marker taken is vaginal discharge or for men, prostate fluid. The normal value of leukocyte esterase is also marked with a (-), while the abnormal value of leukocyte esterase is positive, which is marked with a (+) sign on the test sheet, and due to the difference in the level of positivity, it is divided into one (+) sign to four (+) signs to indicate the inflammation from weak to strong.
