Advanced lung cancer metastasis to liver may only live 1-2 months, or may survive for several years with effective treatment, and this time is not certain. Specifically, even for advanced lung cancer, survival still depends on many factors, including different pathological types of lung cancer, different molecular subtypes under the same pathological type of lung cancer, patient’s underlying physical condition, concomitant diseases, whether effective treatment is available, and whether there are metastases to other organs besides liver metastases. If there are metastases in the liver, the location and number of metastases will affect the survival of lung cancer patients. To cite 2 examples: 1. Small cell lung cancer with multiple metastases, which metastasized to the liver with huge masses, brain metastases and bone metastases. In this case, if the patient is resistant to chemotherapy at a later stage, the patient’s survival may not exceed two months and will not be possible soon. 2. If it is an adenocarcinoma with only one oligometastasis on the liver and the lesion is not large, for example, more than one centimeter, it can be treated locally plus systemic systemic treatment to allow the lesion to completely subside and can achieve long-term survival outcome.
