How to Remedy Scoliosis in a 4-Year-Old

Scoliosis is also known as scoliosis, the common causes are divided into non-structural scoliosis and structural scoliosis, the causes are different, the degree of scoliosis is different treatment methods are different, the common treatment methods for scoliosis in 4-year-olds are dealing with the factors that trigger scoliosis, observation and follow-up, supportive treatment and surgical treatment. 1. Dealing with factors inducing scoliosis: For non-structural scoliosis, i.e., incorrect standing and sitting postures, unequal length of the lower limbs, or inflammation without intrinsic structural changes in the spine, scoliosis can be eliminated by removing the inducing factors. For structural scoliosis with problems in the spine itself, the appropriate treatment should be chosen according to the degree of scoliosis. 2. Follow-up observation: For patients with scoliosis less than 20 degrees, it is necessary to observe whether the spinal deformity develops or not, and to have a follow-up examination every 4~6 months. 3. Brace treatment: For growing children with soft scoliosis from 20 degrees to 40 degrees, brace treatment is preferred with regular review. If the effect of brace treatment is unsatisfactory and the scoliosis angle is more than 40 degrees to 50 degrees, surgery should be performed under the doctor’s supervision. 4. Surgery: For patients whose scoliosis is not effective with brace treatment, or whose scoliosis is worsening during the growing period, or whose spine is out of balance and has obvious deformities, surgery is the treatment of choice to achieve scoliosis correction and spinal fusion. Scoliosis in 4-year-olds should be diagnosed in time and treated under the guidance of a doctor to avoid delayed treatment.
