Is a white tongue AIDS?

White tongue is usually not AIDS. There are many reasons for a white tongue, so you should not judge whether it is AIDS based on this symptom alone, but need to combine it with other symptoms to identify the cause in time. There is a layer of tongue moss on the surface of the tongue, which is normally white in color. Therefore, most normal people have a white tongue. In addition, a white tongue may also be abnormal. From a TCM point of view, it may be caused by excessive dampness or eating too much greasy things that cause a white tongue. Oral Candida infection can also manifest as a white tongue. AIDS is a sexually transmitted disease caused by HIV infection, which mainly destroys the body’s immune system and can cause a variety of opportunistic infections, which can have a variety of clinical manifestations, such as persistent fever, weakness and night sweats, persistent widespread generalized lymph node enlargement, etc. If AIDS causes oral infection, etc., it can also manifest as white patches or hairy white classes. If a patient has already had high-risk sexual behavior with AIDS or may have been exposed to HIV, he or she should go to the hospital for HIV antibody testing to confirm the diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.
