Will a tooth one year after root canal treatment have a shadow on CT?

One year after root canal treatment, there may be shadows on the CT film of the tooth, and the original shadows are not completely resorbed or ossified, or the shadows appear in the missed root canal.
1. The original apical shadow can not be absorbed or ossification: long time chronic periapical periodontitis has not been timely treatment, resulting in serious destruction of the bone tissue around the root tip, a large shadow appears on the CT film, after perfect root canal treatment, the shadow will gradually shrink, slowly ossification, the shadow disappears. Generally, it takes more than half a year or one year, so one year after root canal treatment, there will be a possibility of shadows on the CT film.
2. Missing root canal: Due to the complexity of the root canal system, there are phenomena such as lateral branch or secondary root canal, and the residual pulp tissue is necrotic, which will appear as a shadow at the root tip.
One year after the root canal treatment, the shadow may appear on the CT film, you need to be examined and treated under the guidance of the doctor, and follow the doctor’s advice.
