The ovaries are part of the female reproductive organs, one on each side, and their size is 4×3×1cm. The size of the left and right ovaries is basically the same. If a gynecologic ultrasound reveals that the left and right ovaries are not the same size, then it should be considered from two aspects. 1, if the ultrasound is done in the middle or late menstrual period, there are growing mature follicles in the ovaries or in the late menstrual period, the mature eggs are excreted and then the corpus luteum forms and then cysts are formed, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. 2, the grown side of the ovary has pathological lesions, such as ovarian cysts, ovarian malignant tumors, further examination is needed. The first thing you need to do is to have a pelvic MRI to determine the nature of the lesion. If the ovarian cyst reaches 8 cm in diameter, surgery is required and the surgical procedure is determined by age and fertility requirements. If it is a malignant ovarian tumor, then the scope of surgery should be expanded.
