How long can you live with a lung tumor?

Lung tumors are divided into benign tumors and malignant tumors, and there is a big difference in how long they can live, so specific analysis is needed. Benign lung tumors include lipoma, fibroma, papilloma, smooth muscle tumor, etc., which have clear borders, complete envelope, swelling growth and slow growth, and are less harmful to the organism. If the tumor is large, it can be removed surgically and usually can be cured without affecting the life expectancy. Lung malignant tumor, i.e. lung cancer, can survive for more than 5 years or even longer if early stage patients are actively treated by surgery without metastasis. In late stage patients with poor condition and multiple metastases, the survival time may only be a few months; if active treatment is carried out, the survival time can be relatively longer. In conclusion, patients with lung tumors, regardless of benign or malignant, should be treated actively and develop good living habits, regular work and rest, quit smoking and alcohol to effectively prolong their survival time.
