Post-discharge education for children with diabetes

First of all, avoid infections, adhere to the diabetic diet, the daily calories are age*(70-100)+1000kcal. carbohydrates account for 55-60% of the total calories of the whole day, fat accounts for 25-30%, protein is 15-20%, while a balanced diet to ensure adequate nutrition, pay attention to ensure the intake of high quality protein, ensure at least 1 cup of milk and 1 egg every day. Ensure the intake of vitamins, trace elements and dietary fiber, avoid high sugar and high fat food, and avoid excessive salt intake.  Secondly, pay attention to moderate exercise, the amount of exercise should be gradual, persistent, according to the ability. It can be decided according to whether there are adverse reactions during and after exercise, and pay attention to safety. Usually prepare easily absorbed carbohydrate food when exercising, in case of low blood sugar. A small amount of food can also be added systematically before exercise. Suitable clothing and footwear should be chosen during exercise, attention should be paid to cleanliness and hygiene after exercise, and it is better to accompany children to exercise together and be able to recognize and handle hypoglycemia.  Again, pay attention to the identification of hypoglycemia and timely symptomatic treatment.
