Qing Lung Tang is formulated with maitong, tian dong, zhi mou, bei mou, licorice, tangerine hong, scutellaria baicalensis, and sang pi. Qing Lung Tang is from Volume 41 of Jinjian, the Golden Guide to Medicine. It has the efficacy of clearing lung and resolving phlegm (clearing lung heat and resolving phlegm evil), moistening dryness and relieving cough. Clinically, Qing Lung Tang is mainly used in the treatment of lung dryness and heat cough. For example, if the phlegm is dry and difficult to be discharged, add Juniperus chinensis; if there is much phlegm, add Semenxia; if there is wheezing, add almonds; if the chest and diaphragm are not quick to breathe, add Citrus aurantium, Platycodon grandiflorus and so on.
