How long can you live with non-small cell lung cancer?

How long a patient with non-small cell lung cancer can live is mainly related to his or her specific stage, pathological type and individual patient’s condition, and cannot be generalized. Non-small cell lung cancer is a very common respiratory tumor in China, and its incidence and death rate are the first among all malignant tumors. Non-small cell lung cancer can be divided into 4 stages. If the patient is in early stage, i.e. stage I and II non-small cell lung cancer, the survival rate of most patients can reach 50%-60% in five years. If the patient is in stage III or IV, the five-year survival rate is generally 30%-40%. And if it is stage IV, the five-year survival rate is only about 10%. Patients can improve their survival rate and extend their life through radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, etc. The exact time varies from person to person. During the treatment period, patients with non-small cell lung cancer need to pay attention to post-operative care, regular review and face positively with an optimistic attitude towards life.
